This piece of World of Warcraft machinima was made for a high school English project to portray The Pardoner’s Tale, which forms part of Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales. Great stuff.

American Idol goes to Habbo


Fremantle Media have announced a partnership deal to bring the American Idol brand to the virtual world, Habbo (formerly Habbo Hotel). The deal will involve merchandise and sponsorship rights and coincides with the eight season of American Idol.

Here’s a video from Rivers Run Red demonstrating Immersive Planograms. What is Planograms? From the press release:

PS Home Money Giveaway


Starting tomorrow (15th January, 2009) Sony Asia are offering PlayStation Home users in Hong Kong and Singapore the chance to win a $HK10 PSN wallet top up. All users have to do is track down the mysterious avatars, shown in the posters inworld, and say ‘Hello’ to him or her.

The competition runs until the 22nd January, 2009 and funds are expected to be transferred to PSN accounts by 6th February.
